Around 25% of road incidents in Great Britain result in pedestrian fatality annually (GOV.UK, 29 May 2025)*.

Martin’s wife Steph was standing on the pavement when a bus hit her.
Stephen’s brother Tony was killed by a drunk driver when he was crossing the road. Stephen was seriously injured too.

Dean’s son Andrew was hit by a car driven by a man who was not insured and who was driving illegally.

William’s 15-year-old daughter Lauren was dropped off by a bus on the hard shoulder of a dual carriageway a few feet past an ‘end of motorway’ sign.
She crossed the dual carriageway and was hit by a lorry. She died almost instantly
